Open .docx files, no software needed or Ms-office

Note: This will need firefox browser to function, and it will not function in other browsers such as internet explorer, Opera or Safari

You can now open .docx files without Ms-Office, there is a new Firefox extension from Microsoft that should help. You can install on both linux and windows

This plugin is Called OpenXML viewer, this plug-in (download link) and by using this you can read docx files inside the Firefox browser just like any other HTML web page while retaining all the text formatting and layout.

There’s a command-line version of OpenXML viewer (download link) also available as well for converting docx documents into HTML files that you may then open in any other web browser.
